Effective copywriting solutions, content writing,

Have something to say but not sure how to say it?
Whether it's short-form or long-form, the right copywriting can help convince your customer to buy your product or try your service.
I have experience in short-form copywriting like taglines, radio/audio/TV copy, with over 1,000 clients served over my 20+ year career.
Website copywriting, press releases, newsletters, and social media are also in my creative wheelhouse.
What is a website without the right content?
This is where having compelling subject matter can position your brand as an authority in the space.
The right content develops trust with your readers, who often end up being your customers down the road.
I often utilize interviews with subject matter experts to add context and credibility to your content.
With nearly 20 years of experience, writing about sports is one of my first true loves.
Opinion, analysis, interviews, humour, I've written it all over the years.
My work has been featured at outlets like The Athletic, Sportsnet, MSNBC, Blue Jays Nation, Daily Hive Offside, and Toronto Life.
If you're looking for a player feature or a local team spotlight, I'm your writer.

Portfolio
In this campaign for the Sportsnet Plus Life Coach, I helped write several TV commercials that aired on Sportsnet.
The "Rowen" character was a bit clueless, but that's what made him so memorable as a spokesperson for this streaming service.
With over 20 years of experience writing radio advertisements, I worked on campaigns for over than 1,000 local, regional and national advertisers.
It's always hard to pick your favourites, but above is a showcase of spots that truly hit the mark for the clients.

Over the years, I have made media appearances on various outlets across Canada, the United States, and across the pond in England.
I've appeared as a guest on radio stations like Sportsnet 590 The Fan, 101 ESPN, BBC Newshour, and 570 News.
I've also been a guest speaker at various Pitch Talks events in Toronto and Kitchener.

In this feature for The Athletic, I spoke to then Blue Jays prospect Bo Bichette about how his swing was very similar to Josh Donaldson's.
In reality, Bichette looked up to fellow shortstop, Troy Tulowitzki, but this story highlighted how the swing mechanics between Bichette and Donaldson were freakishly similar.
Award-Winning Journalism

This was one of the favourite stories I've ever written. This article explained how a family in Bright, Ontario, built a baseball diamond in their field of corn, just like the movie "Field of Dreams."
This story ran in the New Hamburg Independent, and won an Ontario Community Newspaper Award.

How do you encapsulate what it's like to be part of a fanbase 40 million strong watching your favourite team in the World Series for the first time in 32 years?
That was my assignment here for MSNBC, explaining to an American audience what made this Blue Jays team - and fanbase - so special.
